We offer supervision of Master theses for both the Vetsuisse Faculty, the MNF, or for courses abroad. On a sporadic basis, we offer student projects. Topics are related to our interests and range from basic organismal biology, physiology to applied veterinary medicine. Please contact mclauss@vetclinics.uzh.ch for details and inquiries on possible projects, and with your own project suggestions.
Examples of current open projects:
- Literature-based studies on the hunting success of carnivores, the relevance of reproduction for animal welfare, comparative growth, reptile body temperature, and gut fill in herbivores vs carnivores
- Analyses of existing faecal samples from digesta retention studies in ostrich and reindeer
- Analyses of existing video recordings on the use of running wheels/plates in rats
